Martin Kaymer defends tournament snub

Martin Kaymer, the German golf player, has defended his act to be a part of the top European golfers in missing Seve Trophy t hat will take place next week. The German golfer, who holed the putt which retained Ryder Cup for Europe in Miracle at Medinah, stated that he could not find extra time in his calendar to take part in the match play competition.

Luke Donald, Lee Westwood, Ian Poulter, Graeme McDowell, Rory McIlroy and Justin Rose have all made themselves inaccessible to represent United Kingdom as well as Ireland squad in Paris. Martin has confirmed that he would not play for Continental Europe.,

Before the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship this week, Martin told that he played a whole lot of events he past few weeks and there are very important events coming up. If one plays too much, he/she enter tournaments at just 80 per cent. For his caddie, the people he work with and himself; it is not right if one enter tournaments where he/she could not be at their best.

Martin told that Seve’s name definitely does play a role but unfortunately he never had the pleasure of meeting him. Jose Olazabal him me if he could play in the season’s middle and he said that he would like to, but let him see if he is going to win here and there, then there is a better possibility. He added that he has not been satisfied with himself this season; therefore, that is why he needed to concentrate on himself at present. He could not do his best for the squad at present and he is quite sure that other people are more motivated to play. It is nothing really to do that he does not like Seve.

All about Martin Kaymer

When it comes to golf, then some mention has to be made of Martin Kaymer. Born of German descent, he was ranked the number one, when he became the runner up of WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship in 2011. He is the member of the European tour.

Martin Kaymer was in the news recently, when he broke par in all the four days at the most difficult and coveted TPC Four Seasons Resort course, at the Nelson. Only another player matched Kaymer’s accomplishment, and that was Sang-moon Bae, who went on to become the winner in this tournament. Kaymer ended his play at joint fifth, and it is not that big a deal in the golfing world, it is indeed a headliner because it’s his top ten for the first time in an official PGA Tour.

And this has indeed been termed as one of the biggest accomplishments on Martin Kaymer’s part as a couple of years back, he had fallen backwards, and did not improve quite as much as everyone was hoping he would. His finishes in all the PGA Tour events also did not stir much attention as they weren’t all that great.  What he is known for mostly is the fact that he has done brilliantly in the last three years at the Accenture Match Play Championship. But what he has done here at Nelson is really commendable as he overcame the Whistling Straits over Bubba Watson during the playoffs.

Another bit of news that is making the rounds in the golfing circuit is the fact that whether Kaymer prefers joining forces with Marcel Siem at the World Cup held in Royal Melbourne. This is because he did extremely well in Round 4 as he was playing with paired German partner Siem, and he aced the round. So this remains to be seen.
