Tiger Woods Announces That He Will Not Participate In The 2014 Masters

Ever since the year 1995, Tiger Woods has been a part of the Masters Golf Tournament. But this year, Woods had to withdraw from the tournament because of a back surgery. On 31st of March, 2014 Tiger Woods had his surgery in Utah which turned out to be successful. However, on the 1st of April, 2014 Woods utilized his Twitter account to inform everyone that he will miss the Masters this year. Woods even thanked his fans for showing continuous support and sending their good wishes.

Many of the professional golfers and fans were shocked to read Tiger Woods’s tweet. They also utilized Twitter to show their concern and reaction to his tweet.

Paul Azinger confirmed Woods’s shocking news and said that the back injury is career threatening like Woods’s knee injury.

Peter Kostis wished Tiger Woods all the best and advised him to modify his swings and workout in the future.

Gary Player asked Woods as to whether he was playing an April fool prank on all of them. Kyle Thompson even said that he hopes this was a joke and Woods competes and wins the Masters.

Justin Thomas, Natalie Gulbis and Harold Varner III were really sad to hear this news. Arron Oberholser was of the opinion that Tiger Woods has become a victim of over training his body.

According to Pablo Larrazabal, the Masters tournament will not be as exciting and compelling as it used to be with him around.

Butch Harmon (former coach of Tiger Woods) was disappointed to hear the news of Woods’s withdrawal and thinks that it is a blow to all the fans that Masters tournament will be played without him.

According to Jack Nicklaus, Woods has done what is best for him and Nicklaus is confident of the fact that Woods’s career is not over yet.
