KAYMER TALKS OF DUBAI LOSS

Finally, Martin Kaymer, the once rampaging German golfer, has talked about his grim loss at his favorite hunting place. He has always been hailed as a king of Abu Dhabi. He missed the cut this year by not snatching a victory the 2nd time in last 5 years.

Many times, Martin’s critics have got surprised by his performance as he won this event 3 times in last 4 years. Once, he took the second place.

This year, he got denied in the halfway cut and Kaymer was embarrassment for not going beyond the halfway mark.  In the next event, which was the Qatar Masters, Martin Kaymer made a firm return by ending for a joint 8th. He believes that has to work on short game so that he can avoid such bitter embarrassment in the future.

He told that expectations were very high in Abu Dhabi. He did not really start the way he wanted, but last week in Qatar was a lot better. He had a whole lot of chances, especially on the weekend. In the end, it might have been a lot better. He added that it is just a matter of time that he will score very good scores again, therefore, he just need to wait.

At the beginning of the last season, Martin Kaymer surged to the top of the OWGR (Official World Golf Rankings). For quite a long period, he is staying at the 4th spot and his performance at the Qatar Masters saved him from going down in the list. After Bernhard Langer, he turned to be the second German golfer to go up to the top of the Official World Golf Rankings, when he snatched a victory at the WGC Accenture Match Play Championship, previous year.
